Sanjiv Nair, born in Bangalore and raised and educated in Delhi, is an independent journalist and distinguished art critic renowned for his contributions to major English dailies such as The Pioneer, Hindustan Times, Evening News, The Statesman, India Perspectives (published by the Ministry of External Affairs), and Veer Arjun (Hindi). His art critiques published in The Pioneer and Veer Arjun gained wide acclaim in the art fraternity for their high-quality writing, literary insight, research depth, and critical analysis. He was also the founder and editor of the bi-monthly tabloid Art Explorer, devoted to art and culture, which he single-handedly authored and which quickly became popular for its quality criticism. His dramatic, philosophical, and psychoanalytical short stories have been regularly featured in Eternal Voice, a quarterly magazine published by Kalgidhar Trust focusing on universal brotherhood. Additionally, his sensitive lyrical poems have appeared in Sarita, a Hindi literary magazine by Delhi Press.
Sanjiv’s revolutionary social novel, “PURPOSE OF LOVE—Poignant Story of a Victim of Rape,” published in 2014 by Frog Books (Leadstart Publishing, Mumbai), addresses social evils such as rape and sexual crimes. He also authored “Face of Guilt & Other Stories,” a collection of 25 psychoanalytical short stories published in 2018 by Notion Press, which explores themes of moral depravity and human frailty. His spiritual novel “Journey of a Prayer – You Pray for Others… Others Pray for You,” was published in 2021, followed by “Divyatma – Ten Incarnations,” released in 2025 via KDP on Amazon.
